Lantern
"It suckled down my chest,
took me to the chambers
of its east wing where I had
not learned to fly yet.
I sang to it, I sang aloud
felt my eyes falter to the
skies, drank the liquid
that had turned to wine.
There is a moment"
Only now
can I take my time,
see the cloud that
changed to shape
my mind, unfold
me into its
purr,
held me at sunrise.
the train walked by my
path and I sat
staring at the street light
feeling it in my throat
It soothed my illness,
a traveling star.
Its glow read my book
followed me
at sight
when the train picked me up.
